Ogun 2027: YAYI is now a Rallying Point for All Ogun State Progressives – Adeniji

The Senator representing Ogun West Senatorial district, Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called YAYI, has been described as the preferred choice of all progressive forces ahead of the 2027 gubernatorial election in the state.

Making the assertion on Thursday at Ota, in the Ado-Odo/Ota local government area of the state, an APC Chieftain, Olootu Bolaji Adeniji, said Senator Adeola has become the rallying point for those seeking a better ogun state.

Adeniji observed that the gravitas of politics has shifted in the direction of Ogun West senatorial district and YAYI is the fulcrum of that paradigm shift and it appears already, that there is growing consensus among the people that the senator is the man to move the state forward from 2027.

According to him, “If you take a deliberate look around the state today, you will see a silent coalescing of many political forces and progressive elements around the Senator. Irrespective of their political party membership and ethnic affiliations, we see people from across the three district of the state daily signing on and urging YAYI to declare for the ultimate political spot in the state”.

Adeniji, who is also the Convener of Ogun West Initiative, noted that the antecedents of the senator and unprecedented performance of the senator endeared him to people from other senatorial district and wish that he replicates what he is currently doing in his constituency to the whole state.

“YAYI’s rising influence and the mounting consensus on him as a Pan-Ogun State candidate is a reflection of meritocracy and service. As a senator, he has reduced the infrastructural deficit in his district, scaled up social services, empowered thousands of people and continues to build up human capital growth. Instructively, he extended some of these interventions to parts of Ogun central and east (on demand); which woke up the consciousness of the masses in those district that, if this man is supported to be a governor, his development-focused and people-centric style of leadership, will transform Ogun State”.

On those saying the senator may be buying the people with money, Adeniji said “those peddling such claims are rivals who cannot compete but seeking the route of subterfuge to strengthen their own case”.

“YAYI has an antecedent of service, on the back of which he has been politically promoted by the people’s votes. From a two-term state legislator and now 16 unbroken years at the national assembly, these couldn’t have been bought with money. When you serve conscientiously and the people see what you do, they give you their trust and support”. He added.
