A former Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, has described the administration of President Bola Tinubu as a total disaster that has underperformed even compared to the much criticised government of President Muhammadu Buhari. The first former female Managing Director and Publisher of the National Concord newspapers, and wife of the late Chief MKO Abiola, Dr. DoyinAbiola, has passed. She died yesterday at about 9.15pm. She was aged 82 years. She was also the first Nigerian woman to be an editor of a Nigerian national daily. Twenty-two people have died and 20 others were severely injured in a lone fatal crash involving a trailer on the Lambata-Lapai road in Niger State on Monday. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, on Tuesday, said Nigeria has recorded 155 deaths from Lassa fever from January 1 to July 20, 2025. The Case Fatality Rate now stands at 18.9 per cent, higher than the 17.1 per cent recorded during the same period in 2024.
