The National Executive Committee, NEC, of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, has appointed the Humanitarian Affairs Minister, Prof. Nentawe Yiltwada, as National Chairman of the party. Yiltwada replaces Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, who resigned from office on June 27. Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum PGF, Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state, made the nomination. The federal government, yesterday, revealed that it collected a total of N14.27 trillion in tax revenues between January and June this year, achieving 43 per cent increase from N9.98 trillion realised in the first half of 2024. The revenue collection performance also substantially exceeded the baseline growth target of 16.4 per cent.
