Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen had a goal to his name as his 65th-minute header helped Galatasaray defeat Rizespor 3-1 on Saturday.

The scoring began early with Davinson Sánchez heading in a corner from Gabriel Sara in the 20th minute.

Rizespor equalised just before halftime through Dal Varesanovic, but the goal was disallowed due to an offside call after VAR review.

In the second half, Osimhen’s goal restored Galatasaray’s dominance, and Mauro Icardi sealed the victory with a stoppage-time goal in the 92nd minute, assisted by Barış Alper Yılmaz.

This win marked Galatasaray’s fourth consecutive victory of the season, maintaining their perfect start in the Süper Lig with 12 points.

Osimhen’s goal was his second of the season, following his strike in a 4-0 win over Kayserispor
