A trailer has plunged into the Muhammadu Buhari interchange along Hotoro in Kano metropolis.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle was stationed and offloading goods and passengers, when it suddenly tilted and fell into the underpass.

Although there were no reports of fatalities, the driver reportedly sustained injuries.

Khadija Isma’il Ahmad said that the vehicle had already fallen into the underpass by the time she arrived at the scene.

“Only the driver was injured on his face, but Alhamdulillah, it’s nothing serious,” she said.

Also speaking, one of the vehicle’s attendants told newsmen that, “He went to the hospital himself and is currently receiving treatment. He appears to be doing fine,” said the driver’s assistant.

“When the vehicle started going down, there was nothing we could do. We were only watching. We pray Allah continues to protect us.”

As at press time, there has been no official statement from the Kano State Fire Service or the police, even as a crowd gathered above the underpass to observe the scene
