Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have arrested an alleged social media inciter during a raid in the Rigasa area of Igabi Local Government Area.

This was contained in a statement by the command’s spokesman, DSP Mansir Hassan, on Tuesday in Kaduna.

Hassan said, “The command wishes to inform the public of the arrest of one Comrade Mustapha Abubakar, popularly known as Dan Saudia, a self-acclaimed social commentator.

“He is notorious for making inciteful and misleading comments on social media platforms with the intent to disrupt public peace and security.”

The spokesman added that the suspect was arrested on Sunday during a coordinated raid on a known black spot in the Rigasa area.

According to him, at the point of arrest, the suspect was caught actively smoking and in possession of a large quantity of dried leaves strongly suspected to be Indian hemp.

The spokesperson stated further that the suspect was currently in custody and would be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations
