The remains of veteran Nollywood actor **Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, were laid to rest in Ilaro, Ogun State, on Monday, in accordance with Islamic rites.
An emotional atmosphere surrounded the burial as family members, friends, colleagues and sympathisers gathered to pay their final respects to the 66-year-old actor. A video from the funeral procession showed mourners carrying his remains to the burial site.
Among those present was Ogogo’s close friend and fellow actor, Yinka Quadri, who was visibly distraught and broke down in tears as mourners tried to console him.
Several Nollywood stars also attended the burial, including Jide Kosoko, Faithia Balogun, Femi Adebayo, Mr Latin and Toyosi Adesanya. Others present included Ireti Osayemi and Bisi Omo Logbalogba, alongside members of the actor’s family and other well-wishers.
Ahead of the burial, actor Bola Oyin-Adejobi paid tribute to Ogogo in an interview with journalists, describing his passing as a painful loss while praying that the late actor would attain Al-Jannah Firdaus.
